Cage-like Cu, Mn, Ni-silsesquioxanes: tuning of synthesis and catalytic properties – approach to molecular magnetism

The phenomenon of cage-like metallasiloxanes synthesis’ fine tuning was established. It was found that changing of solvents system and/or stoichiometric ratio between interacted phenylsiloxanolate (as silicon source) and MCl2 (as metal source) gave an opportunity of isolation of cardinally different in their structure cage products:

Peculiarities of magnetic properties of such cages are the subject of thorough consideration.

Also, Cu-containing compounds were proved as catalyst beings active for oxidation reactions of aryls and alcohols.
