The Galien Polska 2016 Prize for the French-Polish research program «Ligands for the 5-HT6 serotoninergic receptors»

In the framework of the French-Polish research program «Ligands for the 5-HT6 serotoninergic receptors» (collaboration between the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, the Institute of Biomolecules Max Mousseron and the Institute of Functional Genomics in Montpellier), Paweł Zajdel, associate professor in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry of the Collegium Medicum (Jagiellonian University) was awarded the Galien Polska 2016 Prize by the French Embassy and the French Institute in Poland.
This project, led by Professor Zajdel, Professor Gilles Subra (team Aminoacids, Heterocycles, Peptides and Proteins, IBMM) and by Dr Frédéric Lamaty (team Green Chemistry and Enabling Technologies, IBMM) received recently in France the financial support from the Institut Carnot Chimie Balard Cirimat, the Pôle BioSanté Rabelais and from the exchange Programme Hubert Curien Polonium (2017-2018).
The results were patented and licensed to the SpheriumBiomed company.
