Biography
Aicha Talha obtained her bachelor’s degree in organic chemistry (2013) and her master’s degree in organic and bioorganic chemistry (2016) from the University Mohammed V of Rabat-Morocco. In 2016, she joined the plant chemistry and organic and bioorganic synthesis team belonging to the research center GEOPAC-MOROCCO as a PhD student in medicinal chemistry and methodology in heterocyclic synthesis. She joined the bioactive molecules team in September 2018 for a 12-month internship in the framework of ERASMUS+ program. During this internship, she developed a new family of bioactive molecules with high therapeutic activity to circumvent resistance in hematological tumors. She obtained her PhD in 2021 at Mohammed V University of Rabat-Morocco under the supervision of Prof. K. Bougrin. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at IBMM. Her research work mainly concerns the transposition of an original procedure for the formation of amide bonds based on the activation of the amine group, using solid phase peptide synthesis.
