Biography
His work focuses on the development of two integrated models: Caenorhabditis elegans and the tardigrade. The nematode C. elegans is one of the best models for studying Aging. The tardigrade is an emerging study model known for its resistance.
Since 2015, Myriam Richaud has taught in various training courses at the Montpellier Faculty of Pharmacy, including the Master Sciences du Médicament et des Produits de Santé – Aging et Stratégies anti-âge. Since 2022, she has been co-responsible for this Master’s course.
Myriam Richaud participated in the writing of various works on aging (Voyage à l’intérieur d’un tardigrade – CNRS Editions, Survival Analyses – In Demographic Methods Across the Tree of Life – Oxford University Press, Aging of the Tardigrades – Encyclopedia of Biomedical Gerontology).
She is the author of scientific articles (International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Biology, Scientific Reports, PlosOne, etc.). She carries out presentations to the general public on models of aging, tardigrade and senescence (Genopolys, Fête de la Science, Researchers’ Night, etc.). She also participates in popular science journals.
