Biography
Camille Oger was born in Saint-Gaudens (France) in 1984. She studied chemistry at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse and University of Paris VI (UPMC). She then moved to Montpellier and received her PhD in the field of total synthesis of neuroprostanes at University of Montpellier II. She did a post-doctoral work with Pr. Ilan Marek at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology on the development of new methodologies towards the synthesis of polypropionates units and was promoted as assistant professor at University of Montpellier, in 2011. In 2016, she obtained her Habilitation (HDR). Her research interests include the development of new strategies toward the synthesis of bioactive lipids, mainly non-enzymatic and enzymatic oxygenated fatty acid metabolites. Since 2016, she has been working on the lipids metabolites found in marine environment, either as biomarkers of environmental impact, or as bioactive compounds of pharmaceutical interest.
