Matthieu began his academic cursus by obtaining a Bachelor degree at the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour. He continued his studies with a Master degree at the University of Montpellier, specializing in the chemistry of bioactive molecules. He joined the Green Chemistry and Enabling Technologies team at IBMM for an internship, where he worked on mechanochemistry and photochemistry under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Bantreil. Subsequently, he took on a research engineer position funded by the Carnot Chimie Balard CIRIMAT in the same team, contributing with Frédéric Lamaty to the field of green chemistry, focusing on the synthesis of amides and peptides by reactive extrusion. Now, he is rejoining the IBMM Green Chemistry team as a doctoral student to work with Frédéric Lamaty and Xavier Bantreil on the mechanochemical synthesis of bioactive molecules.
