Mohamad began his academic career by obtaining a Licence and a Master 1 in Molecular Chemistry at the Lebanese University. He then went on to complete a Master 2 at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. During his Master, he carried out a research internship at CPE Lyon under the supervision of Dr Stéphane Daniele, where he worked on the synthesis and characterization of new selenium-based molecular precursors.
He is currently a PhD student in IBMM's Green Chemistry and Enabling Technologies team, working under the supervision of Dr Frédéric Lamaty and Prof. Xavier Bantreil on the Mechano-activation of molecular nitrogen for ammonia synthesis, as part of the Mecammonia project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), in collaboration with the UCCS (Unité de Catalyse et de Chimie du Solide, Lille) and the IC2MP (Institut de chimie des milieux et matériaux de Poitiers).
