Biography
Paul began his academic career with a preparatory class in biology, physics, chemistry and earth science at the Lycée Henri Poincaré in Nancy, France. He then joined the chemistry department at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris – PSL for a bachelor's degree and two years of master's studies. After spending a year preparing for the agrégation competitive examination in physics and chemistry, he enrolled in the PSL Integrative Chemistry and Innovation Master's program for the 2024/2025 academic year. During his Master's degree, he completed an internship with Prof. Olivier Riant's team at the Catholic University of Louvain on the synthesis of cyclic peptides, followed by an end-of-study internship under the supervision of Prof. Cyrille Costentin at the University of Grenoble Alpes on electrophotocatalysis and electrophotocoupling for the formation of C-C bonds. In October 2025, he joined the Green Chemistry and Enabling Technologies team at IBMM as a doctoral student working on the FlowRex project, funded by the ANR (French National Research Agency). Under the supervision of Frédéric Lamaty and Xavier Bantreil, he is working on the development of methods in organic chemistry through mechanochemistry and reactive extrusion.
