Biography
He completed his Master’s thesis under the supervision of Dr. Damien Bosc at the Institut Pasteur of Lille, within the Medicinal Chemistry and Molecules to Act on Living Systems laboratory, focusing on the synthesis of macrocyclic precursors and inhibitors of the Insulin-Degrading Enzyme.
Following his studies, Erwan Baheux held a position as a research engineer in chemobiology at the UGSF in Lille. His work focused on the synthesis and chemical ligation of mass tags intended for detection by MALDI mass spectrometry.
In 2025, he began his PhD in organic chemistry and oligonucleotide chemistry within the ChemBioNAC team, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Smietana, working on the development of a new method for the selection of modified split aptamers.
