Biography
Iryna obtained her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv while working part-time as an organic chemist at Enamine Ltd. When pursuing a Master's degree from the University of Lyon 1 in Synthesis, Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry, she performed an internship at the Biofunctional Chemistry Lab under the supervision of Dr. Guilhem Chaubet and Dr. Alain Wagner, where she worked on the synthesis and characterisation of mass spectrometry probes for metabolomics. She then pursued her PhD in Nice at Côte d'Azur University under the supervision of Prof. Véronique Michelet and Dr. Maria Duca, focusing on targeting microRNAs with small molecules, complemented by an apprenticeship in computational chemistry at IQS in Barcelona under the supervision of Dr. Roger Estrada-Tejedor. She joined IBMM (2025) to work on selective SUV4-20H inhibitors employing synthetic and computational approaches with Dr. Marie Lopez.
