Biography
Dr. Jean-Pierre Uttaro received his Ph.D. degree from the University Paul Cézanne (Marseille, France) in 2004 under the supervision of Prof. H. Monti and Dr. G. Audran working on the total synthesis of sesquiterpenes and taxanes precursors. After postdoctoral training with Prof .J. Stephen Clark (University of Nottingham, UK) and as an assistant and teaching position at the University Claude Bernard Lyon1 with Prof. R. Lamartine, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Montpellier in 2006. He is currently working in the NuEP team. His main research interests involve the design, the synthesis and the study of new therapeutic agents and the study of a new synthetic methodologies.
