JIREC 2026 – Journées de l’Innovation et de la Recherche pour l’Enseignement de la Chimie

The JIREC bring together secondary and higher education teachers as well as education stakeholders to exchange ideas on pedagogical innovation in chemistry.

A true laboratory of ideas, they foster the sharing of experiences, reflection on content and teaching methods, and the adaptation of education to today’s scientific and societal challenges.

The 36th edition, organized by the University of Montpellier, will focus on the theme:
“Chemistry, Ecological Transition and Sustainable Development.”

Lectures, workshops, presentations, and round tables will explore the role of chemistry in the energy transition, environmental protection, and the education of responsible citizenship.

These days provide a unique platform to strengthen links between secondary and higher education and to rethink the teaching of chemistry in light of the challenges of the 21st century.
