Biography

Agathe Peylin holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the Université Grenoble Alpes (2022) and a master’s degree in inorganic chemistry from the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (2025). She completed her master’s internship within the amino acids, heterocycles, peptides and proteins teams at IBMM and the porous and hybrid materials team at ICGM, in collaboration with the Technical Leather Centre (CTC) in Lyon. This internship focused on the characterization of proteins obtained from leather un-tanning for industrial valorization.

Agathe is currently a CIFRE PhD student with the CTC, supervised by Professor Ahmad Mehdi and co-supervised by Professor Gilles Subra. Her research aims to develop chemical and agronomic valorization pathways for solid by-products from the leather industry.
