Biography
Gaëtan BENOITgraduated from Sorbonne University in Paris, specializing in Organic Chemistry and Life Sciences (2025 class). Throughout his studies, he developed strong skills in medicinal chemistry, notably through a two-year work-study program (alternance) at Sanofi, focusing on the synthesis of small chemical molecules. He then completed an additional year in a work-study program at an innovation laboratory within Sanofi, where he applied his chemistry knowledge while also training in biology and physics. Specifically, he worked on the design and evaluation of a biodegradable hydrogel for 3D cell culture, using droplet microfluidics. Currently, Gaëtan is starting a PhD thesis focusing on the development of personalized nanogels for the treatment of pediatric brain cancer, a project co-supervised by Gilles Subra (IBMM), Niels Bovenschen (Utrecht University), Cécile Echalier (IBMM), and Rene Van Nostrum (Utrecht University).
