Biography

Adrien graduated with a BSc in Molecular Chemistry in 2017 and a MSc in Green Chemistry in 2020 from University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse. He completed his first-year MSc research project at the LCC UPR-8241 in Tpulpuse under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Céline Deraeve, where he worked on the synthesis of tetradentate copper(II) ligands for therapeutic applications. He then did his second-year MSc research project at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) in the team of Prof. Dr. Syuzanna Harutyunyan, where he synthesized phosphorus- and non-phosphorus-containing chiral pincer ligands of manganese(I) for the enantioselective nitrilation of alkenes.
He stayed at the University of Groningen to join the group of Prof. Ben L. Feringa where he did his PhD on the design and development of bioinspired synthetic molecular machines, defended in November 2025. In January 2026, he joined the Glycochemistry and Molecular Recognition team at IBMM as a postdoctoral researcher, where he works on the development of fluorescent peptidic nanostructures for biological applications.
