Biography

Pauline Lejault holds a PhD in Biochemistry and specializes in nucleic acid chemical biology, with a particular focus on DNA and RNA G-quadruplexes. After completing her PhD in 2017 at the "Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle" in Paris, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Université de Bourgogne Europe" in Dr. David Monchaud’s group, followed by the "Université de Sherbrooke" (Canada) in Prof. Jean-Pierre Perreault’s group. She has contributed to the development of TASQs, a family of patented molecular probes commercialized by Merck/Sigma-Aldrich (BioCyTASQ and MultiTASQ).

In 2025, she was awarded a CNRS Junior Professorship (Chaire de Professeur Junior) and joined the ChemBioNAC team at the Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (IBMM) in Montpellier to establish her CAP-G4 research program. Her current research focuses on the interplay between RNA G-quadruplexes, epitranscriptomic modifications of the mRNA 5′ cap, and translational regulation, with the aim of identifying novel therapeutic strategies to overcome chemoresistance in colorectal cancer.
