Biography

Eliott Roy is a chemical engineer, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR, 2022), with a specialization in organic chemistry and biotechnology. In parallel with his engineering training, he obtained a Master’s degree (MSc) in molecular chemistry from the University of Rennes (2022). He then completed a PhD in organic chemistry in the Oleg Melnyk group at the Pasteur Institute of Lille (University of Lille, 2025) focusing on the development of an oligomerization process to access tandem-repeat proteins based on the chemistry of non-canonical selenated amino acids.

Following his PhD, he joined the F9 and F10 teams at the IBMM for a postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Pr. Ludovic Maillard and Dr. Florine Cavelier, where he focuses on the synthesis of peptides incorporating fluorinated amino acids in order to investigate their impact on peptide structure.
