Biography

Morgane Bayle is an associate professor of pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier and conducts her research activities at the Max Mousseron Institute of Biomolecules.

She obtained her doctorate in 2017 from the University of Montpellier, with her work focusing on the pharmacological activity of a polyphenol metabolite (urolithin C) on pancreatic beta cells. Her research led to a preclinical maturation project funded by SATT axLR (Technology Transfer Acceleration Company) to demonstrate, in vivo, the antidiabetic potential of this compound.

Her current research focuses on characterizing the pharmacological activity of natural molecules (polyphenols and polyphenol metabolites) and ligands targeting the ghrelin receptor (a GPCR), involved in cellular processes regulating energy homeostasis.
