Biography

Jean-Philippe Biron graduated from the National School of Chemistry, Montpellier, in 1991, with a DEA in Polymers, Interfaces and Amorphous States. The same year he joined the CNRS as an organic synthesis engineer in a team led by Prof. Pierre Potier at the Institute of Chemistry of Natural Substances (ICSN, Paris-Saclay). In 1999, he joined IBMM and Prof. Auguste Commeyras’ team to study the molecular origins of life. Jean-Philippe currently works at the interface between analytical chemistry and computing. He uses capillary electrophoresis techniques, mainly the Taylor dispersion analysis (TDA), and creates programs for analyzing experimental data.
