Chantal Menut is Emeritus Professor at the University of Montpellier, at IBMM (team F14: Glyco and Nanovectors for Therapeutic Targeting). PhD (Doctorat d’Etat) in chemistry, 1982 at the Montpellier University. Associate professor at the University of Yaoundé (Cameroon) then from 1986 Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier. Specialized in the field of natural substances chemistry and their biological activities, chemistry of aromas and essential oils, olfactory evaluation. Responsible for numerous international research programs on Aromatic and Medicinal Plants from Tropical Area. Supervision of more than 30 thesis, author of more than 200 papers. Creator and head of the Professional Master “ICAP-Arômes & Parfums” up to 2019. Expert at the AFNOR (Essential Oils Commission) and at the ANSM (Pharmacopoeia Unit) since 2014.
