JIREC 2026 featured in L’Actualité Chimique
The September issue of L’Actualité Chimique looks back on the great success of the 36th JIREC, held from 27 to 30 January in Sète around the theme “Chemistry, ecological transition and sustainable development”. The event brought together more than 150 participants from across France and Senegal for three days of conferences, workshops and discussions focusing on chemistry education and innovative teaching practices.
This Montpellier edition notably benefited from the strong involvement of IBMM colleagues, with Jean-Yves Winum coordinating the event, alongside Karine Molvinger and several colleagues from the Montpellier site as members of the organising committee.
And as the JIREC continue to attract attention several months after the event, an article dedicated to them has been published in issue 518 of L’Actualité Chimique, released in September 2026. A wonderful recognition of the work accomplished by the entire organising team!
